How do SurfLocks work as theft prevention?
SurfLocks are a physical and visual theft deterrent. The stainless steel design, braided steel cable and padlock all work together to provided top notch security against board theft. Given the choice a thief will attempt to steal a board that is not locked vs the one that is. However, just because your board is locked does not mean it can't be stolen! Use common sense and reduce the risk by keeping your board is the safest most public place possible.

Why are SurfLocks so inexpensive compared to other systems on the market?
Don't let the low price fool you, SurfLocks are a high quality stainless steel locking system which has been available to the public for almost ten years. The design is simple, yet very effective which means you don't pay extra for someone else's inflated concept of what a surfboard lock should be. Not to mention that SurfLocks have been thoroughly tested on thousands of boards over many years. Now with the help of the internet you can buy SurfLocks direct, saving you even more money! p>

Do SurfLocks only work on cars?
SurfLocks work anywhere you want them to! Cars, trucks, vans and other vehicles are just one option. SurfLocks can be used to secure both a board and a bike. Lock 1 or more boards in a garage or car port for extra security. Save stress, lock the board at the beach if you don't plan to surf all day or even at a store while you're shopping. Even, stop your mates from grabbing your board without asking.
